THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS BULLFROG BAGELS AND FUND FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR CHILDREN
Our keynote speaker, Dr. William Blake, Director of Social and Emotional Learning for DC Public Schools, shared with us the approach DCPS is taking to integrating Mindfulness and Social and Emotional Learning system-wide in support of student and teacher well-being.
A student panel of Peace of Mind students talked eloquently about how they use mindfulness and conflict resolution skills to address challenges.
Small group workshops focused on Teaching Applied Mindfulness for PreK-Grade 6; A collaborative conversation for Early Childhood Educators; Self-Care for Educators; an Administrator Focused session, and more.
All DCPS Educators were invited to a special post-conference conversation with SEL Specialists Krystal Butler and Bodé Aking to share experiences, best practices and problem-solving relevant to PoM implementation and management within DCPS.
